To prepare this tea traditionally, start eith quality sencha or bancha green tea leaves. Add roasted brown rice, which contributes a nutty flavor and hint of popcorn aroma. The resulting infusion has a light green color with a toasty, comforting taste. Genmaaicha is often enjoyed during meals or as  a daily beverage.
